Active transponders
The active transponder system means linking of all the participant`s data to one transponder. By using batteries, this timing technology has an independent energy supply and is especially suitable for sports events with speeds up to 80km/h.
The reading systems are installed at the event location by placing loops on the start- and finish line, which can extend up to 12 metres. For cycling, the transponder of the athletes are mounted with a dedicated bracket directly on the bycicle. For other disciplines they get attached with a neopren velco tape at the ankle. The transponder are distributed by the organizer immediately before the event and are recollected afterwards.
The active transponder technology is tailor-made for mass sport event, because even though there is a great radius of action and high speeds the precision of the recognition rate is at maximum effect. Furthermore and even with subsantial amount of data, the evaluation of the net times is possible very fast.
Application: Cross-Country Skiing, Biathlon, Cycling, Triathlon, Inline-Skating

RFID-Tag (One-way chip)
RFID-Tags are a cost-efficient UHF one way chip where the intelligence of the system lies in a dedicated reader system. This technology guarantees a high detection rate and is particularly suitable for sport events with speeds up to 50 km/h.
The one-way tag system is installed with specially designed antenna mats at different locations with a width of up to 8 metres. The major benefit of this technology for the participants of various competitions is the ease of handling. Since the tags are very lightweight they are directly integrated in the start bibs which eliminates distribution and recollection of the tags completely.
Using this technology enables a quick and exact evaluation of the net times even with a large number of participants.
Application: Running, Mountain bike, Triathlon, Road bike

Photo finish
The high-end photo finish system is used for acquiring precise times, especially if the finish line is crossed with high speed and the participants are lying very close together. This technology autonomously monitors every movement at the finish line and issues an individually adjustable evaluation list, which is confirmed by the recorded photo finish picture.
The camera offers a recording speed of up to 15.000 lines per second with a resolution of up to 1.360 pixel, thereby guaranteeing good pictures even under unfavourable light conditions. The photo finish system can be used as supplement to other timing systems, albeit it ensures a high accuracy of the ascertainment by itself.
This technology is especially comfortable for the participants of the sports event as they’re not getting in touch with it. It’s operated by qualified personnel outside of the race track.
Application: Athletics, Cycling, Inline-Skating, Cross-Country Skiing
Manual time measurement systems
For smaller competitions, a manually operated, computer-assisted time measurement system with high-quality hardware may be more suitable. Optical barrier technology (photo cells) is mostly used for the monitoring of impulses and by using this technology, among other things, intermediate times, time-displaced races as well as a fast provision of result lists and certificates are possible.
The traditional method of timing by hand is applicable universally and allows a simple and cost-efficient time measurement solution.
Application: Alpine Skiing, Show Jumping, Rally, MTB-Downhill
Special Solutions
In cooperation with our customers we develop tailor-made time measurement system for sport (ski race), industry (calculation of deceleration times) or fun (time measurement for water slides). Our hard- and software experts are accustomed to solve highly complex tasks satisfactorily for our clients.
Furthermore, RaceTimePro takes over the competitor administration by providing an online registration service to support the organizers of sports events in their administration as best as possible.
